There has not been a posting in while.  Ive been doing a few photoshoots, but not many.  Most of my time has been spent in photoshop and watching workshops, I hope to get out soon and put my new photography skills to practice.  However, winter is not my favourite time to be outside.

On another note I tried out renting a studio for the first time.  Up till now all my shoots have been outdoor or in my home studio, but this was an interesting experience.  Firstly, i’d never worried about time before, but now it was a big issue.  We ran a bit late and incurred extra costs, it was cold clammy and snowing outside and I had to carry in a lot of equipment up 2 flights of stairs.  Then back down again.

I will probably do it again, but next time i will pay more attention to planning the time with the rest of the team.

However discussing studio rentals is a digression… this is about my last outdoor shoot before winter.  This was a quick shoot with the kids all with the D810 and a manual focus Zeiss 135 F2 lens.  I haven’t done a shoot for fun in a while and this was great.  I have to do more of this.  The kids collected leaves and had a ball in the nearby ravine.  Here are a few shots from that event.
