A trip to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) yields many great photo opportunities.  However I found myself wanting to capture the happenings outside the gallery.  This is a bustling corner with old architecture juxtaposed with the modern AGO building.

Here are some scenes outside the Gallery.

Like 2 grumpy old men watching the new kids in the neighbourhood, these houses stare from across from street at the sleek streamlined AGO building.  I like the rich colours of the houses and I had to wait a for an opening between the passing cars and pedestrians to get a relatively clean shot.

Laura was just outside the gallery photographing the a couple friends, we spoke briefly and she was trying to learn photography by doing everything in manual mode. We talked about ISO settings for a while and I asked her if I could make a portrait of her. I wanted to get her with a better background but she was running late.
